RoHS
2002/95/CE (RoHS - Reduction of Hazardous Substances)
2002/96/CE (WEEE - Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directives
The 2002/95/CE Directive aims to limit or prohibit the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. See link to PDF file.
The 2002/96/CE Directive aims to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic equipment on the environment during their life time and when they become waste, with reference to the hazardous substances as per 2002/95/CE directive. See link to PDF file.
Eledis is fully committed to supporting both the RoHS and WEEE directives, and therefore publishes on its website all information that is necessary for our customers to be compliant.
To begin with, we have contacted all our suppliers of raw materials asking for information about the usage or content of the hazardous substances involved in the Directive. We have asked for a roadmap in order to become fully compliant to both the RoHS and WEEE Directive within July 1st, 2005.
The information we have requested includes:
· Details for all product series
· Technical specifications, if necessary, for new RoHS compliant product mounting and
assembling
· Certifications for independent tests on new RoHS compliant products
· Implement date for new RoHS compliant products availability
Eledis is committed to provide its customers with all necessary information as promptly and clearly as possible. For this reason, Eledis will use its website with real time updates, customers are therefore invited to keep consulting it on a regular basis.
